Resident Salary (Effective June 1, 2026):
Salaries are competitive with other area programs and increase annually by postgraduate year.
PGY-1: $66,647
PGY-2: $70,367
PGY-3: $73,800
PGY-4: $77,467
House staff physicians receive a meal stipend of $240 per pay period ($6,240 annually). This stipend is in addition to the base PGY salary listed above.
An educational allowance of $1,500 per year is available for reimbursement of expenses related to conferences, seminars, review courses, and the purchase of lenses or books.
House staff physicians are entitled to the following paid leaves per academic year: 21 vacation days, 12 sick days, 13 holidays, 5 conference days, and 3 bereavement days.
Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO or PPO health insurance, dental coverage, vision plan, disability insurance, workers’ compensation, life insurance, pension plan, and flexible spending accounts.
